Police forces stopped using flashbangs because they were legally restrained in many locales, due to a variety of incidents including grenading a baby’s crib. I doubt they would have stopped otherwise.

Amazing art as always!
Also obligatory TF2 reference: “Medals for everyone!”
I don’t think they are active equivalents. Unlike that situation, this is home field for both sides - with key infrastructure and intelligence data held extensively by the aggressor. The populace is not motivated or unified in ways that a populace defending against a foreign invader would.
While the technological gap may be somewhat different, the ability to conceal equipment is very limited by the defenders. It is unlikely that the aggressors would “withdraw” from the area as well, since their command would not tolerate losing a key economic and strategic location for the US (California has numerous military installations and production facilities). It is far more likely that ICE/Federal forces would double down.
Granted, this is from my perspective as an engineer who is trained in analyzing problems through a systems and logistics mindset. I don’t know how passion or the human psyche would play into this.
I still believe these are not apt comparisons though.
With very few exceptions, California doesn’t grandfather equipment into new gun regulations. The presumption is if you possess ammunition/guns that aren’t on prior sale records (IE: out of state purchase), you need to declare and possibly surrender them.
Given that all in-state transactions are recorded (as I mentioned in my prior comment), if any LEO found ammo or guns in your car trunk along a state line, you’re cooked.
Not guaranteed to happen, but certainly not risk free.
Moment you cross the state border back, you gotta declare it, forfeit it, or try to smuggle it. Legislators thought of that, same with importing guns.
As a California native, it is incredibly difficult to get the kind of firearms that you see toted around in other states on social media, because of our state’s gun laws.
There are alternative ways to get weapons like those, of course, but it’s not very sustainable or comparable to something made by a proper gunsmith. Also getting your hands on ammunition in this state is both difficult and recorded at each transaction.
For those reasons, its unlikely to happen, as much as it pains me to say.
Of course, this changes quite a bit when people organize around this. But a lone wolf is not going to work well here.
Unfortunately, I fear that that the first 3 options would lead to something similar to a Waco-ATF incident. Civilians simply cannot surmount a force that has permission to use modern military equipment against the populace. It would be far more likely that the city would be burned to the ground, and each “law enforcer” would be acquitted in a federal court.
I do believe there is a possibility that a hostile public would make things difficult for ICE, but realistically protected emigration would be the most successful solution. Even though I dont want to leave California, I may have to emigrate with the others to stay alive.
Tux plushies are open-source (anyone can use the designs freely), maybe something similar exists for Xenia?
Does this mean making a joint with caffeine powder mixed in is on the menu?
Looking like the borderlands 2 villain lmao
They will be loved, I will gladly give them headpats and treats for 10 dollars.
Gotta interact with your customer base somehow. For artists, it’d likely be the equivalent of getting banned off Ebay, Facebook marketplace, or Amazon.
Me living in IRL Night City: “If only I had social skills, but at least people are chill here”
Reminds me of Escape from Tarkov as well lol, need to add random Russian graffiti to the walls
Man, I’m saddened that this is not visible to more people. The people at NASA have achieved amazing things for all of us.
Huh. What language are you having trouble with, if you dont mind me asking?
I’ll never complain about seeing great art projects! Looks good!
