I don’t even want to think about mopping that up, TBH. Hard pass from me.

Stand around, politely sipping your $21 beer.
Maybe it is real, come to think of it? You could try logging onto to one of Sleazy P. Martini’s livestreams to ask him.
I can’t be 100% sure, but I figure there’s some situations that security isn’t willing to put their asses on the line to put a stop to. Even a dozen of them working to stop a pit once it started would be wild to see, but have seen it tried at smaller venues with 1-2 of them pulling individual people out.
More and more from what I understand. Saw some guy break his foot, trying to kick in the stadium’s glass door because he was too dumb to realize that there was no re-entry & he went to get something from his car. Stadium shows are fucking shit.
Saw one of those a few years back, after some teenager got pulled out of a pit at a larger show with a visibly-broken leg. Shit can get hairy sometimes, but it’s what we’re there for, I def don’t appreciate a blanket ruleset which aims to empower bouncers to kick out anyone for what’s supposed to be considered par for the course at a metal show.
It was decent, but TBH it was the lineup that saved it. My dollars are going to small venues and house shows almost exclusively, the stadiums won’t let me drink Wild Turkey from the bottle or rail anything in the kitchen either…
I’m mixed on crowd-surfing TBH, despite getting knocked pretty good a couple of times. It’s only been a problem for me if I manage to make it to the first five rows of people on an open floor. I knew that’s where the crowd surfers would wind up, and tried to keep my eyes peeled, but expected it was going to happen anyway. I do feel pretty concerned for anyone under 5’6" in a pit though, even if they’re confident, seeing as I’m much larger and have still gotten the shit knocked out of me quite a few times.
If bands wouldn’t stand for it, it would stop happening. Brass tacks, these fuckers played hundreds or maybe even thousands of show without this kind of pathetic collaring of the crowd. Give your money to Gwar, they’ll let your crowd surf, and spray you with fake blood and cum after decapitating an effigy of the current POTUS.
Could be worse, could be one of the world’s most renowned metal bands with a moshing ban.
Don’t whiz on the electric fence, right?
