Shouldn’t capitalism just see LGBTQ people as another market to be exploited? The problem is that capitalism uses religion as a means to control the workers.

Capitalism using religion as a means?

You sure it is not the distribution of capital, dead-end employment, militarized police, obscure markets, corruption, privatization of profits and common infrastructure and socialization of the losses?

Because all of these seem much more critical to how capitalism works over religion. Especially with the Abrahamic scriptures being very opposed to greed, interest rates, gambling, doing trade in temples…

I mean, that’s literally what has been happening for a long time.

It does. That’s why we see all the corpo pride stuff in pride month every year and why there was recently an uptick in queer representation in media. Ofc their support of us is fake and has always been shallow and sanitized, and is the reason why there are several companies pulling back on visible (if any) support this year.

Yes, that’s why they only start “supporting” it after it becomes socially acceptable enough so that the money they plan on making is more than the money from dipshits they expect to alienate.
