That’s what I use, in fact. Warm water on face, apply foam. Stretch skIn lightly taught, and a single pass with the grain. I’ve been doing it this way for decades, but recently I always end up with a cut or two somewhere. Should probably just go a bit more slowly.
Hm, I’ve been shaving wet for ever and have been on E for ~5 years. No cuts unless I’m really not paying attention. It is a skill you can learn :)
I recommend safety razors. Cheap, easy, and gives a close shave

I’ve found that whenever I cut myself, it’s either that my lather is too watery, or that my blade needs to be replaced.
