I’m afraid that I have the worldbuilder’s disease and it is terminal.

Fascinating. And where did this disease come from, how is it spread, and what demographics does it affect the most?

The disease comes from being raised on enough media and being encouraged to critically engage with it. It spreads by engaging ones curiosity long enough for the person to find the joys of lore. It mainly affects very autistic people who have both an interest in science and an interest in storytelling, with most storytellers never contracting the illness.
edit: succumbing -> contracting
with most storytellers never succumbing to the illness
