You know the cliché: socialism doesn’t work. Everyone is telling you it’ll lead to starvation, because of the holodomor. But after I did the bare minimum of actual research that did not involve any far-right think-tanks, it turns out the holodomor was caused by the Ukrainians not wanting to suck it up to Stalin, and then Stalin doing a bit of a revenge, instead of “planned economy” and a lack of “infinite growth”. So I did even more research, it turns out, just like the right has its more quote mark “libertarian” counterpart, socialism, at least originally, was a very libertarian movement, it’s just the definition was changed by both Stalinist regimes, and those far-right think-tanks.
